They are dedicated to preserving traditional African drum and dance and inspiring a cross-cultural, universal celebration of life. Lannaya has been performing, educating and collaborating in Austin and across Texas since 2000. Lannaya consists of a talented troupe of drummers and dancers, all trained in traditional drum/dance from West Africa to the Caribbean. Multicultural and dynamic, Lannaya performs intricate and intoxicating dances to rhythms of the Africa Diaspora. They have performed at Austin’s Paramount Theater, One World Theater and many outdoor festivals, including Austin City Limits, First Night, Austin New Year, Formula 1-FanFest, the Violet Crown Festival and Waco’s Cultural Arts Fest.
