Jennifer Guillory is a yoga, movement and sound teacher based in Austin, TX. She began life and dance in Louisiana but grew up mostly in the many areas of Houston, TX. She has been a yoga teacher, sound healer and tantric sex educator in Austin since 2011. She teaches many different styles and paces of yoga but her first and favorite practice is Yoga Nidra which was introduced to her in high school when she suffered chronic anxiety and severe panic attacks. She has found dance and music can be embodied states of that practice that help her maintain a healthy body, mind and spirit in a pressure filled world. Rhythmic movement has proven to be a vital medicine in managing her autoimmune system condition, Sjogren’s. Dance was a dormant childhood passion that resurfaced in her adulthood, and she studies and practices ballet, tap and modern dance. Jennifer is inspired by the relationship of structure and surrender in movement. She also explores this in hobbies like roller skating and horseback riding. Jennifer loves to create art through painting, visual media and music. In addition to her sound therapy instruments (drums, singing bowls and gong), she practices piano, viola, cello and ukulele.
