I am Fatima Georges and I have been dancing professionally for over 30 years. I hold a B.A. degree of Fine Arts in dance from Marymount Manhattan College of NY, a holistic health certification with the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, RainDrop therapy certification through Young Living, and I am a Reiki Practitioner.
I studied meditation, Qi Gong, Yoga, nutrition, Kamitic philosophy, herbalism, and other spiritual disciplines that helped me to be a more complete, well-rounded spiritual woman at the Ausar Auset Society (AAS) which is an international spiritual organization. I also studied Tantra and gender harmonics with the Jujumama Love Academy.
I have trained with many dance schools including Alvin Ailey American Dance School, Carnegie Hall, Broadway Dance Center, and Ballet Hispanico. With a background in ballet, tap, modern, jazz, Guinea West African, samba and flamenco I have an expansive knowledge of dance techniques and styles.
Some of my major work includes traveling nationally and internationally with Carnival Cruise Lines (FL), Austin Samba community dance company (TX), Bandan Koro African Drum & Dance Ensemble (TX), and Brazilian singer “Silvana Magda & Katende Band” (NY). I served as a principal dancer for 2 off Broadway shows in New York City “Regained Innocence” and “Sex Is…” I was the lead choreographer and dancer for the Het Heru Healing Dance Group, and JC Caribbean Dance Company in New York City.
My television credits include: featured samba dancer on Latin Television (LTV), featured model for Artist Avant “I Can Read Your Mind,” and Sheek Louch “Mighty D Block,” dancer for Lil Kim “The Jump Off,” Sean Paul “Like Glue,” the movie “Belly” and acted on the Dave Chappel Show as “Bad Girl in Boot Camp”
As an Emotional Wellness Coach, I use movement to guide women with peeling away layers of pain, trauma, and help discover the movement that is already there. As I go through my own journey of self-discovery, dance is the art form of expression I choose to feel liberated and free.
