Chantell Moody is a singer, dancer, artist, activist, and performer currently residing in Austin, TX. She began dancing in her youth at Tanya Ogden’s Dance F.X. in Des Moines, Iowa. She fell in love with Hip Hop and Freestyle dance after years of studying Jazz, Tap, and Ballet. At the age of 21, she relocated to Austin, Texas where she got her start creating music and released two albums with her band, The Digital Wild. In 2013 she joined Crash Alchemy, an interactive circus arts performance group, and starred as the lead character in the stage show “Gratitud Infinita.” In 2015 Chantell, Timothy Ruch, and Deano Cote formed the experimental electronic group, Fort Never. They released their debut album, “Home,” in 2016 and are continuing to write and release music. In 2019, Chantell was asked to perform and tour internationally with Austin based group, Golden Dawn Arkestra, an Afro-Beat- Psych-Rock band that is known for their theatrical stage shows. Chantell joined Lannaya as a dancer in 2019 with the intent of getting in touch with her roots through African dance.
